Chase Abell
Chase Abell is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Dupont Manual High School and went on to study at Hanover College and the University of Louisville in Communications and Sociology.
Chase’s dancing career began with pro/am competitions with his teacher, Linda and later moved into the Amateur Division with his partner Taylor Shorten. During this time Chase trained with many notable coaches such as Judi Hatton, Bill Davies, Glenn Weiss, Bill Sparks and Beata Onefater.

Amateur Achievements
Third at the USA Dance Nationals in 2005 in the 16 to 18 year old age division.
Quarterfinal at the USA Dance Nationals in 2008 in the Adult division.
Prior to 2005 placed in the Amateur finals of many competitions including the Ohio Star Ball, The United States DanceSport Championships, the Heartland Classic, the Chicago DanceSport Challenge, the Derby City DanceSport Championships, and most notably a first place finish in 2005 at the Embassy Ball in Irvine, California, dancing in the Amateur Youth division against couples from several countries including China, Estonia, Russia, Poland and the United States.
Chase has decided to extend his knowledge of dance into the Professional division and is now instructing at Ballroom East, as well as dancing pro/am with his students in competitions and Showcases. He still enjoys, being involved in the local amateur clubs where he is currently the President of Louisville Ballroom Club and Treasurer of the Louisville USA Dance Chapter.
Chase has shown perseverance and dedication to dance and was lucky to start as a young amateur and have many years to perfect and hone his skills
