All Of Our Lessons Have A Purpose
To have fun and at the same time transform your dancing into something great.
Beginner Classes
Open to the public. No reservations necessary. Comfortable shoes and clothing recommended.
Social Dance Parties
Monthly socials consist of a 45-minute group lesson followed by 45 minutes of social dancing.
Private Lessons
One instructor to one student or one couple. Open to any age or experience level.

I've been a dancer at Ballroom East since 2008. I started as a complete beginner, but through the dedicated and expert coaching of Linda Jackson and Charles Jones, I went on to compete at the highest levels in the sport. I have found so much joy and fulfillment in my 17 years as a dancer at Ballroom East, and it is all thanks to the environment of learning, passion and fun that Linda and Charles have generated. Whether you're someone who wants to try ballroom dancing for the first time, socialize and dance for fun, or you're looking to refine your skills for competition, I can think of no better place to do it. About Ballroom East
Located in the East End of Louisville, Kentucky, Ballroom East is conveniently located in the heart of St. Matthews. Ballroom East creates an environment that would inspire everyone of any age to be great dancers. Purchased in 1986, with the encouragement, inspiration, and passion for ballroom dancing of Dr. Alan Thomas, Ballroom East became a reality.

Our Instructors
Instructors Charles Jones and Linda Jackson have been dancing together for over 4 decades. When founding Ballroom East in 1986, Linda had been dancing with Charles for over a decade and both would go on to win championships across the country while offering ballroom dance lessons to the public from their headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.
